Xabi Alonso Chelsea team heads in to 2026/2027 on fire

Chelsea beat  Real Sociedad 3 : 1  at the bridge in their last Pre-season game ahead of the new campaign.

Xabi Alonso for the first time implement his main 3-4-2-1 formation with the Starting Line-up that includes Sanchez in goal , Fofana , Lacroix and Cowill as the three center backs pairing . Caiceido and James was paired in midfield and Palestra and Pedro Neto completes the four midfield set up . Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer played together in Chelsea colour for the first time behind the leading top scorer in 2026 pre-season Joao Pedro 

Morgan Rogers open the score in 11th minutes at the Stamford bridge. Aramburu of Real Sociedad level the score in the 45th minutes before the half time. Joao Pedro puts the blues ahead 2 minutes into the second half with a well lifted cross from the midfield by Reece James. The Brazilian striker double the blues lead in the 77th minutes after receiving a  well line breaking pass from the substitute Malo Gusto to make 3 : 1 and give Xabi Alonso Chelsea side a moral boosting win ahead of the new campaign.

Joao Pedro went home with Man of the Match Award . Making his Pre-season stats 7goals and 1 assist.
